Adi Design Index is a catalog of the best design products selected annually by ADI – Association for Industrial Design. The book features an introduction dedicated to reflections about outstanding personalities in the field, followed by the product sheets. The graphic style of the initial pages is inspired by the world of Italian architecture magazines from the ’60s and ’70s and it is invoked both by the choice of the typographical settings and by the sought after lack of resolution of the photos, deliberately faded. The background gradient colors suggest the effect of a botched copy, aesthetically reviewed in a modern key. The aim is to highlight the connection with an ancient world, technically inaccurate but culturally more observant.
