AIA New York’s annual Design Awards Program recognises outstanding architectural design by New York City architects and work in New York City by registered architects practising anywhere in the world. The purpose of the Awards Program is to honour the architects, clients and consultants who have achieved design excellence.
Kokoro & Moi developed the identity and was responsible for the exhibition design of the 2013 Design Awards. The identity features a combination of a strict, city-plan-like grid system and patterns with organic, molecular shapes representing life within and around these architectural grids. The chosen colour scheme is based on the official New York City colours that a certain awesome sports team wears with pride. Score!
