Basic House was built in La Pobla de Cérvoles, Spain, by the architects Carles Puig and Maria Antònia Mir. The house is located next to a rock formation, in an area characterized by the presence of almond trees and a disused cistern. The body of the building has been placed transversely over the cistern with an external coating made of earth pigments in order to appear as a new natural element. The use of fair faced materials is also visible in the interior and it gives an essential and not finished character to the building.
