Born in Agen in 1979, Fabien Fourcaud lives and works in Paris since 2007. French self-taught photographer, he was influenced in his approach by his work as artistic director in the 3D industry and virtual reality.
His photographic work investigates about the relationship with the landscape. Always searching for tipping points, trouble areas, his work attempts to highlight the thin line between presence and absence. The treatment of his images explores the boundary between photography and painting.
Fabien received the Prix de la Photographie in Paris (category Fine Arts) in 2013. In 2014 the Black Box Gallery Portland (USA) has exhibited his work and a book with his photographs, Amertume Volume 1, has been published by Croque-Madame editions.
