After Earthquake : Ettore Moni

Places with a strong character and identity as well as aggregation and reference points, churches have always been collective indicators able to reflect not only the reality, but also the fate of entire communities. And it was just when an earthquake, in May 2012, affected the entire district of the Po Valley in Emilia Romagna, that this aspect has been revealed in all its pragmatism, disarming like never before. In fact, apparently so similar to contemporary art installations outstretched towards that sense of unfinished, so characteristic of our time, these iron tangles are, at present, what most approaches the concept of dimensionless and timeless resistance, of what survives and who remains standing. Always. Anyway. Despite all.
