An Island is an open photographic project about Elba Island by Tuscany based Italian photographer Luca Moretti.
Living in front of the sea is not just like being surrounded by it, to reach an island is another thing. The idea of escaping or going elsewhere, also if very near to home, only an island can give it. Elba Island is near to my place; during the clear days, when Tramontane or Mistral winds blow, I can see it also from my house and it is usually enough. But this was the longest summer, so one day I decided to take the ferry and to be surrounded by Tyrrhenian sea.
