Any meaning is only capable of containing a partial truth, so I’m trying to take pictures of nothing. I want them to be totally devout of meaning; no statement, no judgement, no personality, no emotion, no time and or place. I want to strip away all of my ego in order to see what is really before me. Simultaneously, in that state, I want to find something and remove it from all the visual elements that distract from it; I want to elevate it from the rest. In this way, I want to give something meaning that didn’t belong to it before. I’m trying to transcend all meaning in order to find meaning behind anything and everything.
