[S]lowseason is a collection of images of the north coast of Tuscany by Italian photographer Luca Moretti.
The collection originates from the observation of the landscape near the place where I live, a close exploration of more or less familiar places.
Walking is the essential instrument for this process, as a primary symbolic action aimed at transforming the space surrounding us; walking as an esthetic practice as well as a possibility of establishing new relationships with the landscape around us.
Along the edge of the coast, the low season makes the centre become periphery again, spaces open up to memory and contemplation and it becomes possible to re-appropriate the landscape, to become aware of it once again.
