Disappeared : Luca Prestia

Disappeared is a project by Italian photographer Luca Prestia that has as its subject the Alps area that lies between Italy’s north-west and the south of France. The images were taken in locations with rarefied atmosphere, open spaces and silences which we are not accustomed: places where the presence of man does not seem to be contemplated. The main purpose of this work is to encourage the viewer to find an inner balance that everyday life can no longer be achieved. The locations shown in the photos have an altitude ranging from 600 to 3.000 meters above sea level, and the images were taken in different seasons of the year.
