Mari Kanstad Johnsen is one of the most talented contemporary illustrators of the Norwegian scene. Her works are a visual balance between comics, drawing and painting and are influenced by botany, Japanese engraving and the passion for drawing animals. Through the sign and personal use of color Mari experiments a new conception of contemporary art in which she continually crosses the boundaries between comics, illustration and graphic arts.
